1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how IKAN EXPERIENCE LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, on January 17, 2023, with registered office at 611 South DuPont Highway, Suite 102, Dover, Delaware 19901 (Registered Agent: ZenBusiness Inc.) and mailing address at 2852 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60641 (“IKAN,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information in connection with our investment program, our educational and travel experiences, and our online platform available at www.ikanglobal.com. 2. Information we collect
Depending on your relationship with IKAN (investor, client, parent or guardian, student, teacher, school, vendor, or team member), we may collect:
- Identity and contact information: full name, date of birth, nationality, government-issued identification (passport or ID card), signature, mailing address, email address and phone number.
- Financial information: bank account and routing (ABA) numbers, bank statements, tax forms (such as IRS Form W-9, which includes your taxpayer identification number), payment history, investment amounts, agreed returns and transaction records.
- Identity-verification imagery: a live photograph of your face and photographs of your identification document, used solely to verify your identity and prevent fraud and impersonation.
- Information about minors: information about students participating in our educational and travel programs (name, age, travel documentation and program-relevant needs), always collected from and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Vendor and employment information: tax and banking details of vendors, and employment-related information of team members and applicants.
- Platform and technical data: transaction references, receipts and delivery evidence, access logs, and strictly necessary session cookies.
3. How we use your information
- To verify your identity, including comparing your live photograph against your identification document.
- To prepare, execute and perform contracts — including investment and loan agreements, promissory notes, program enrollment agreements and vendor agreements — and to facilitate their electronic signature.
- To process payments, disbursements and reconciliations, and to issue receipts and statements.
- To maintain legal, accounting and compliance records, and to comply with applicable laws, including tax and anti-money-laundering obligations.
- To communicate with you about your investments, programs and account, and to respond to your requests.
- With your consent, to send you information about new IKAN programs and investment opportunities. You may opt out at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf: cloud hosting and database providers, e-signature services, email delivery services and document storage providers, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Financial institutions, to receive and disburse funds.
- IKAN affiliates, for the purposes described in this Policy.
- Authorities, when required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
5. Children’s privacy
Our platform and investment services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about student participants in our educational programs is provided by their parents or legal guardians with their consent, is used solely to operate the program safely, and is protected consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable law. Parents and guardians may review, correct or request deletion of their child’s information at any time by contacting us.
6. Security and retention
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, PIN-protected electronic signatures, restricted-access document storage and audit logs. We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above and as required by applicable legal, tax and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your state of residence (including under the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act and similar state laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access a copy of it, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, and to opt out of certain processing. Regardless of where you live, we extend these choices to all our users: contact us at enrique@ikaneducation.co.uk and we will verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you may also contact your state Attorney General.
8. International transfers
IKAN operates in the United States and Mexico. Your information may be processed in either country by IKAN and by the service providers described above, always subject to the safeguards of this Policy.
9. Cookies
The platform uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep your session active and secure. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal or service changes. Updates will be posted on this page (www.ikanglobal.com/privacy) with a new “Last updated” date.
